Meet Donna Vock

Donna Vock is widely recognized for her unique combination of expertise in fine jewelry manufacturing, design, gemology, and curation. With over three decades of experience, she has established herself as a trusted authority in the world of signed and estate jewelry, as well as a creator of exceptional bespoke pieces.

A graduate of The State University of New York at Stony Brook, Donna’s foundation in geology led her to an entry level position at H Stern, then Tiffany & Co, where continued education was highly encouraged. Studies at F.I.T, Parsons, and the School of Visual Arts all fed her creative curiosity while her continued graduate studies at the The University of Notre Dame grounded her in ethical business practices. An executive position with Lazare Kaplan Intl, a vertically-integrated diamond mining, cutting and branding company was her last stop before launching Donna Vock Designs and Consulting dba Vock and Vinatge in 2010.

Donna’s work is shaped by an uncommon foundation: training in both STEM and classical design. That blend of analytical thinking and creative intuition naturally informs how she works—guiding her eye, her process, and her long-standing collaborations with the world’s foremost artisans and collectors.

Meet Alex Vock

Alex Vock is the founder of ProVockative Gems, specializing in the sourcing of exceptional stones, natural pearls, and rare jewels for some of the world’s most important buyers. Born in Paris, raised in Tokyo and London, Alex settled in New York after graduating from Bates College in 1981. After a brief stint in the container leasing business, he joined his uncle’s firm, world-renowned ruby specialists and pioneers in the cultured pearl business. This experience and extensive travel abroad to source the best product available proved a priceless education.

In 1990, Alex launched ProVockative Gems, and tirelessly worked to make it the industry leader it is today. Widely considered an authority on natural pearls and colored gemstones, Alex has advised governments, trained luxury retailers on product, collaborated with gem labs on research and development, and consulted with museums on historic collections. Well-traveled and multi-lingual, Alex has a network of exceptional reach and high integrity.
